This Week: 5 Things

Bank Holiday Monday
It's always so nice to have an extra day tagged onto your weekend, isn't it? That one day makes it feel so much longer than it actually is, and in turn the next week is only a 4-day week!
What a win-win situation. I didn't do anything overly special. Our shower has died, so I spent most of the day waiting on my uncle to come out and have a look at it, as my parents are away on a cruise (lucky ducks!), only for him to say it's leaking near the circuit board and is too dangerous to use, so we need a new one! Fabulous. After that I hung out with my friend Laura for a few hours...

Catch-Ups & Chinese
Laura has spent most of this summer hopping from country to country! She's a Primary School teacher, so she's made the absolute most out of her summer break that she could and visited some amazing places! From Egypt, to Croatia, to Barcelona...I'm beyond jealous! As a result, I hadn't seen her in like a solid 2 months, so we had plenty to catch up on on Monday accompanied by some take away Chicken Chow Mein!

Creed Coffee
I spent 4 hours in Creed on Tuesday with Gemma. I think it's becoming a problem, I'm pretty sure we're just going to become fixed features of the cafe! It is great though, I love it. I had a caramel latte and then a peppermint tea a few hours later, and Gemma had a vanilla latte and a hot chocolate, all of which were glorious. This is the type of place that Carrick has been missing for so long, somewhere cosy with tasty food and drink, where people can go to just chill out. I love it!

Hello September!
I am so very happy that it's September! I think it's one of my favourite months of the year, just behind December! This entire year has flown past so quickly, but I'm embracing the new season with arms wide open. You can check out my post all about Autumn here.

Queen of Shadows by Sarah J Maas
The most recent addition to Mass' Throne of Glass series was released on Tuesday and I pretty much devoured it in two days. It was so amazingly brilliant that I can't even sort through my thoughts in a coherent manner! It was just so incredible and my heart felt like it was going to burst on several occasions! If you haven't read these books yet, I seriously recommend that you do, they are mind blowing!

So that's how my week has went by! It's actually seemed like quite a long week, I couldn't believe that the bank holiday had been on Monday and not the week before!

How has your week been?  Have you been up to anything exciting?
